i owe so much to so many people. today in church we discussed the importance of service and love.

we listened to a few words from one of my favorite speakers Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, he talked about the importance of not getting caught up in the "thick of thin things". this particular talk has always been one of my favorites. he reminded us to evaluate ourselves at the end of each day and ask ourselves if we "have done any good in the world today?" even the smallest services or gestures can make the biggest difference to someone else.

i loved being reminded of this today.

even though it is february i am making a resolution for this new year to each night evaluate my day and make sure that i am not wasting my time with the "thick of thin things" and do at LEAST one thing a day that brightens someone else's day. as a result i think that my life will become more fulfilled and i will have a greater perspective and see clearer the beautiful things in life.
